Arthur, son of the great king Uther Pendragon and Ygraine of Cornwall, was raised as a knight by Merlin. It was only after his father's death, and after taking the legendary sword Excalibur from its base, that he ascended the throne. He would lead, accompanied by the knights of the round table, the most difficult quest in his history: the quest for the Grail.
