Pompadour dress costume
For most of the eighteenth century, women wore skirts heavily draped over baskets. Most of the dresses were low-waisted, pointed. Under each dress, women wore a boned body and petticoats. The dresses were adorned with furbelows, bows and ribbons. Collarettes, lace necklaces and ribbons adorned the neckline. Madame de Pompadour, the famous mistress of Louis XV, wore French silk dresses, as in the illustration of Patrick Dallanegra who accompanies each outfit.
Choker, furbelas and ribbons, all these details are present to respect the historical character of the garment. We added a few tips to allow the girls to fully enjoy their dress and play without constraint. Thus, the stomach piece, the underside of the arms and the cuffs are extensible, which allows great ease in movement and easy adjustment to all sizes.
